Into the Trees

A panel I did as part of a school project about kids getting lost in the woods while roleplaying fantasy characters. I might bring back the concept and do a bit more with it. The two here are Miriam (fantasy alias "Minora", a high ranking guardswoman) and Tally (fantasy alias "Princess Taline", a sheltered girl who feels trapped by royal life and wants to pursue the magical connection she feels to nature). Their roles in the fantasy and reality kind of parallel each other and the story centers around the relationships between the characters as they make an effort to understand each other. My original plan was to make a full graphic novel but in the time we had to do the project that idea wound up being way too much... So instead it became a series of digital paintings, drawings and animations related to the story.
